A Special August Visit
Our August trip to Zaluchchya was remarkable in a new and heartwarming way. We were joined by a special guest—our dear sister Olga, a former member of Almaz Church, who now serves alongside her husband, the pastor of another church. She brought her teenage daughter, and together they joined us in ministering to the children. It was a sweet reunion and a meaningful time of service.
During the visit, Olga shared a Bible story with the children. Later, as we rode the train back home, she shared this powerful reflection:
“It’s not difficult to say here that our world is broken—that it is not paradise, and not what God intended it to be. It’s not hard to say that evil triumphs because we have sinned and disobeyed God. But then, to say that Christ, by His sacrifice, resolved God’s wrath and prepared a place in heaven for all who believe—a place with no sickness, evil, or tears—this becomes truly good news for these children. They have so little to hold on to in this world. Their hearts are already prepared soil for the Gospel.”
